[edit] General Description

The Speakeasy Vintage Tube Preamp is one of Speakeasy's most popular products. It is designed to connect a keyboard to an audio system via an all tube circuit path.

It's usage can be for pre-amplification but it can also be used in situations where it is "tube tone" that is needed rather then and increased signal level. Built in controls will allow for this type of operation.

The unit may or may not have special 9 pin connector(s) for connecting to a Leslie™ speaker cabinet. This connection is accomplished via a short cable (aka Pigtail) with a mating 9 pin connector on one end, and the appropriate "Leslie™" connector on the other end.

NOTE: It takes more then this Pigtail to change the preamps operation from one family of Leslie™ cabinets to another, internal changes to the wiring are also required. These changes can be performed at the factory for a nominal fee.

[edit] Pedal Style Preamp

[edit] Description

The pedal style preamp was modeled in part after the original vintage "Chrome Pedal" Combo Preamp produced by the original Leslie™ company, Electro-Music. Like the original it is built to sit on the floor and has foot switches to control various cabinet functions, depending on the model.
